The Heart Of Our Community

After the 2020 lockdown, the schools in Zimbabwe took some time to reopen. In an effort to help the community, especially the mothers and the children, Patrick Mavros filled the gap with a unique form of home schooling on Mpata Farm.

With help from the Headmaster and local teachers from St. Joseph’s School, lessons were given to young pupils in order to prepare them for when the schools opened.

“It’s a huge burden off the shoulders of the teaching community. It has given us immense satisfaction…”

Through the activities of the programme, the children gained confidence and self-esteem. Through music and dance, a major part of the Zimbabwean culture, the children found joy in difficult times.

We continue to engage the community, the children and St. Joseph’s School with proceeds from our Vakadzi Collection.

With our warm regards
