In 1993 a small orphaned male elephant was found in the south eastern part of Zimbabwe known as Gonerezhou (The Place of the Elephants).
His new home was on our land, here at Mpata Farm, and he was named Boy. He developed a great bond with his handler and a pet zebra, but soon outgrew both.
In 1999 Boy joined a bigger family of elephants that were once orphaned and are now trained to carry game scouts and visitors on patrols of a large game reserve.
