Patrick's signature elephant
The reaching bull elephant Dande is my hallmark elephant. I first saw him in 1974 in the Dande communal lands, towering up on three legs to reach the tasty fruit high in a pod mahogany tree. I found this unforgettable silhouette to be full of symbolism and when I started to sculpt, years later it was my most powerful inspiration.
